TEMCO sits within the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport Special Economic Zone in Gaborone — by design, not by accident. A patient weighing a complex procedure measures three things: the standard of care, the cost, and the distance. Place a tertiary and medical-tourism hospital at the runway and the third one shrinks. International arrivals, established transport links and SEZA-qualifying fiscal incentives line up so that Gaborone becomes the closer, calmer choice for the region — closer than Johannesburg, closer than India.
The same address serves the greater Gaborone metropolitan area and keeps Botswana's own complex cases at home rather than sending them abroad. Two streams meet at one entrance: patients arriving from across the region, and Batswana — public-referral, medical-aid and private alike — reaching specialist care close to home. The Accident and Emergency department serves both the airport catchment and the surrounding communities.

Construction Timeline
